Minutes of the Last meeting held Oct.11th, 2007, meeting called to order 7:15PM.

Officers absent were: Sam Panella & Sal Chiaramonte

New members, Joseph & Marie Navarre were welcomed and will be sworn in next month.

Get well wishes go to Grace DelCaimpo and Cynthia Farace, both are recuperating.

We will be sending flowers to both ladies, with wishes for a speedy recovery.

Michael said he is meeting with the Grand Lodge for Future Good of the Order to attract some younger people to group and change some things to make it user friendly.

Guest Speaker was Gene from the Clinton Bootery, next to Stop &Shop.

He spoke on the importance of getting your feet measured at least once a year as people do not realize they are a different size then they actually wear. They do mostly problem fittings. He makes Orthotics to fit your shoes and give great comfort. It’s expensive but he said it’s worth it. He also sells regular shoes, and says best ones are Merrell, Sas and New Balance. He also said Crocs are good quality shoes and sells them too. He was a very interesting speaker.

For the program next month it is suggested that all members bring in some information about their Roots. Born in Northern or Southern Italy and as much information about their heritage as possible. Should be fun……

You must give your choices along with your check by the November 8th, 2007 meeting.

PLAY & PRAY BUS TRIP 12/5/07 / leaves 10:00 AM from Clinton, must be paid ahead $49.00 tax & tip & lunch etc. included. All information was in the minutes for the last meeting. SHORELINE LODGE #2792 WILL HOLD IT'S NEXT MEETING ON OCT. 11TH, 2007 AT 7:00 pm AT THE CLINTON POLICE STATION , COMMUNITY ROOM.
We wish everyone born in October a very Happy Birthday.

Meeting : Sept.13th, 2007 was called to order at 7:45. The guest speaker was a Clinton police officer. He showed a movie and spoke on identity theft. We all learned quite a bit on how to prevent this from happening. For those of you who did not attend, I would like to say you missed a very informative meeting. You can always contact the police department for information.

We had two visitors, who plan on joining our lodge. Marylou Haase and Delores Raffa. We also would like to extend our condolences to Delores Raffa on the loss of her husband and also one of our members, Mike Ingrassia on the loss of his wife. Our deepest sympathy.

Nancy Berliner gave Treasurers report: appox. $1600.00 in acct.

Committee reports: Sharon Nosal reported all is going well with ticket sales for Sept. 16th, 2007 pasta dinner. All raffle items should be in a few days before if possible.

Anyone interested in the Bus trip on Dec. 5th, called play & pray to Rhode Island casino & Lady of Lasalette Shrine price $49.00 p.p. should contact Nancy Berliner (after 7:00 PM) at (860) 669-4304 reservations need to be made as soon as possible.

Gail Garrity is in charge of the annual Christmas party. Please read this very carefully and send your food selections& check or call Gail Garrity at (860) 395-8021 or email at gailhytide[at]aol[dot]com with your choices before November 15th, 2007. All checks must be in by the November 8th meeting.

We would like thank everyone especially Nancy & Andy Berliner for getting so many donations for the raffle for Spaghetti supper. We will be putting together a list of people and companies that donated to the raffle and Bob Farace will enter them on the Shoreline OSIA website he has put together. We also are very happy Gail Garrity is back, she was missed. Sometimes we forget to say it, but Thanks Nancy and Sharon for all the work you do at the meetings.

Sal Chiaramonte is recuperating from Surgery and we wish him well it was so nice to see him at the meeting.

Happy Birthday to everyone in the upcoming Month of September…..

Minutes of Meeting held on August 9th, 2007. Absent were Pres.Marty Nosal (he was attending the convention In Florida), and Orator: Sal Giamonti.

A correction in Names misspelled for last month. Lucy Speara was actually Lucy Saglio. Nancy Berlinger is spelled Berliner.

Meeting called to order at 7:05Pm. Treasurer report: Nancy Berliner advised we have approx. $1600.00 and may have to increase the dues next year because of added expenses.

A bus trip is planned for: Dec. 5th, 2007 (Wednesday) leaving 10AM from Clinton to Twin River Casino and Lady Lasalette Shrine in Massachusetts to see the lights and Mass is held at 5:30 PM. It includes some casino promotions/buffet, and the bus for $49.00 pp. If you would like more info. Or want to reserve a spot, you need to call Nancy Berliner, at (860) 669-4304 AFTER 7:00 PM, she needs all payments for reservations A.S.A.P.

Gail Garrity, we miss you at the meetings and we need to know if you still would like to be in charge of handling the Christmas Party????. Please let us know before the next meeting. If you’re busy and need some help please let us know. We do need to make arrangements next month or so. Please try to attend; we look forward to seeing you.

Again to remind you all, one of our members, Christina Luna will be singing in New York on Sept. 28th, 2007 at 8:00 PM. There is bus leaving from Hartford and New Haven. You need reservations for the bus and show and dinner all separate. You can get more infor on Christine’s website www.christinasings.com. Let’s make this a group event.

Grace Del Caimpo was in the hospital and is home as of Monday. We all wish you get well soon and missed you at the meeting. A card of thanks was read from Rose Dilella for the thoughtful gift sent to her as she recuperated. We are all so happy she was able to attend the meeting and is doing wonderful.

Committee Reports: Sharon Nosal will mail tickets to sell for Pasta Dinner Sept.16th, 2007 at the Elks Club at 1:00 PM. To all members. and some societies. Posters are going up and also on Comcast. Sam will put up a large board sign on Seaside Ave the lst week of September. I have forwarded information to the Purple Aster to go into next bulletin.

All items for the raffle for Sept. 16th must be in at least 3 days before. Some members are going to different businesses to get donations for the raffle. Please bring them to next meeting or bring to Sam Panella before the Spaghetti Supper.
